I Love Myself

It's the weekend again!

Grabbing 2 friends, I rushed to the nearby cinema and bought the tickets to a romantic movie, Penelope.

Directed by Mark Palansky, the stars in the show including Christina Ricci (Penelope) and James McAvoy delivered their roles satisfactorily. The laughter medicine is also propelled by superb comic performance of Penelope's parents in the story. Equally commendable is one of the actresses cum producer of the movie, Reese Witherspoon, who played a rough-talking bike messenger credibly.

Honestly, I was quite charmed by this small fairy tale like movie. In brief, it's about a young girl's inspiring journey, a horrendous family secret and the power of love. In order for Penelope to break the family curse to be cured of her snout issue, she must find true love with "one of her own kind."

Surprisingly, the warm and funny adventure leads her to find out the simple cure in her life is "I like myself the way I am". The importance of loving yourself no matter how you look physically!

Does it sound familiar to you?
