Hands Up!
My work requires me to edit articles/publications before our School releases them.
Unanimously, my publication colleague whom I acknowledged her as the "chief" editor of the team is usually the last person to edit as well as vet the text. For my current project, campus planning, I submitted the text to her like usual. After she modified them, I had a second look and counter-proposed two changes.
For some reason, she was not receptive, so I hands up and went by her preferred text for one of them. For the other, I pushed along with my suggestion as I felt it was easier for the readers to digest.
Guess language is like art, where you can't please everybody. Do you agree?
