Where Is The Love?

With fuel and food prices going up, the world is protesting vehemently!

From our South East Asian neighbour country, Malaysia to Hong Kong in East Asia, headlines are splashing across media including:

* Spanish stockpile food and fuel

* Malaysia PM offers package to placate key allies

* Demonstrations in India show signs of fading

In Hong Kong, a demonstration by about 500 minibuses, lorries, garbage trucks and coaches was staged, calling for fuel taxes to be discarded.

Now the question is what the government can do about increasing oil and food prices due to high demand and low supply? Especially when these two things are linked together.

The increased oil prices in turn creates higher costs for farmers. It does not help when the cost of shipping, food and almost everything else is also rising. Overall, these escalating prices are going to have knock on effects throughout the economy.

Guess what we can do is to learn to operate using less oil and humming along to:

Where is the love?(love)
Where is the love?(the love)
Where is the love?(the love)
Where is the love, the love, my love
it just ain't the same
old ways have changed
new days are strange, is world insane?
